A new modern Primary Health Care Centre operates under the control of Queensland Health, Cape York District Health Service.

This service is backed up by the Royal Flying Doctor Service which provides a regular weekly clinic and emergency medical service.

The doctor visits Aurukun from Tuesday to Thursday each week with regular specialist services.
